Instructions for Off Campus Access
Before you can access databases off campus, you must change the default password in your user accounts. Instructions.
Method #1:
Nursing Reference Center & Literary Reference Center Users |
Important Note: Due to upgrades by EBSCO, Methods 1 and 2 will not work for Nursing Reference Center and Literary Reference Center off-campus. Please call or email the library at 343-7716 or 343-7770 for a special user ID and Password. |
This is the easiest and best method and works on almost all computers Do this:
- Read instructions

- Go to https://libsearch.rsu.edu
Method #2:
Use Method 2 to access American Chemical Society and ARTstor databases. Follow the directions below for setting up a direct network connection for your operating system.
Method #3:
If Methods #1 and 2 both fail, write down the exact text of any error messages and call Sarah Clark, Access Services and Distance Learning Librarian at 918-343-7719 (if no answer, call the front desk at 343-7716). She will forward you to the appropriate people to resolve your connection problem.
For All Methods:
Your username is your on-campus student login: sdfirstnamelastname. Users with the same name are assigned names with numbers following the end of the username. Your password is the password you use when logging into the campus computers. If you have never logged in, the password should be your birthdate (mmddyyyy).
Note for Faculty Members:
All RSU Faculty members can request a student network login from ACS that will allow them to access library databases from home via the website. Please contact your department head for more details.
Off-Campus RefWorks Users:
Call the library at 343-7716 or 343-7770 for the Group Access Code. |
