Student Health Center

The RSU Student Health Center provides on-campus health care to current students, faculty and staff with the provision of a valid Hillcat card.

  • Mono screening
  • Glucose Screening
  • Hearing and vision screening
  • Blood pressure screenings
  • Over the counter medications
  • Allergy shots
  • Physicals
  • Vaccinations
  • TB testing
  • Limited lab tests
  • Health education
  • Well Woman exam

Location

The Student Health Center is located in Downs Hall, adjacent to the west side of the Health Sciences Building on the Claremore campus. You may also access the center through Room 164 of the Health Sciences Building.

Fees Charged

The RSU Student Health Center services are available free of charge to all students, faculty and staff, however some fees for vaccines and lab that must be sent out for processing may be incurred to cover the costs when applicable.

The RSU Student Health Center does NOT have x-ray facilities. Referrals may be necessary in some instances. The students, faculty and staff are responsible for any expenses incurred through the referral process.

Confidentiality Statement

All services offered through the RSU Student Health Center are confidential. The only individuals with access to student files are employees of the office facility. Confidentiality statements are signed by all office personnel (including student workers) in this facility. The only exceptions to confidentiality are governed by law as is reflected in the following:

  1. When there is concern that harm may come to student or others (i.e. child abuse, suicide, homicide)
  2. When information is about a premeditated criminal act or violation of law
  3. When a court of law subpoenas information from the student’s file
  4. When the student or their legal guardian sign a written release of records authorizing certain information in the student’s record to be released to another professional
