History Minor

The aim of the History minor is to give students an understanding of the role history plays in their lives through a Christian worldview.

Required Courses:

The following courses are required:

  • American History (section not used in Ge. Ed) - 3 hrs*
  • Western Civilization (HIST 2133) - 3 hrs*

Select 12 hours from the following courses: (Three of the courses must be 3000 level or above)

  • Church History (HIST 3103) - 3 hrs*
  • Constitutional Law (POLS 3113) - 3 hrs*
  • European History 1500-1815 (HIST 3413) - 3 hrs*
  • European History 1815-present (HIST 3423) - 3 hrs*
  • Introduction to Sociology (SOCI 2123) - 3 hrs*
  • Macroeconomics (ECON 2123) - 3 hrs*
  • Microeconomics (ECON 2223) - 3 hrs*
  • Oklahoma History (HIST 3313) - 3 hrs*
  • Principles of Geography (GEOG 2243) - 3 hrs*
  • Special Topics (HIST 4903) - 3 hrs*
  • World History (HIST 2313) - 3 hrs*
