About Darren

Darren is from Kansas. He has been a certified science teacher since 1991. Darren began his teaching career in Missouri where he was a football coach and FCA sponsor. Following that, he was a chemistry teacher and coach in Girard, Kansas. While there he served as secretary of the deacon board and high school youth group leader at Girard Bible Church.

Darren served as Chaplain for the Glory Riders chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association for 10 years, and on the Board of directors for PSU Campus Christians for 9 years, seven of those serving as President of the board. During several summers, he also served as a summer camp counselor for Camp Soaring Hawk (now camp Barnabus), Kanakuk Christian Camps, and Shiloh Christian Camp.

Darren has travelled on several short term mission trips to Mexico, and also to Dominican Republic, Germany, and Scotland.   He has been a presenter at ACSI regional conference Dallas Texas, and OCHEC state convention in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is published in the Christian Education Journal and has been a featured speaker on Science, Scripture, & Salvation a creation Radio Journal. Since 2006 in addition to teaching, Darren has been serving as a Teacher and presenter for Real Ark Ministries. He married his wife Cara in 1999, and is the father of 6 children, five girls and one boy.
