BIT BY BIT

Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center

Volunteer assisting a boy riding on the horse.

This program is designed to meet the special needs of individuals that cope with challenges in their daily lives. Special needs or considerations may be in the areas of:

  • cognitive
  • developmental
  • behavioral
  • physical
  • or a combination of several disability areas

Bit by Bit provides a safe, regularly scheduled equine experience based on the individual goals of each student.

Classes are free for students and meet once per week. Class times include day and evening options Monday through Friday. Because of the nature of therapeutic horseback riding, class size is limited.

Our horses are trained and cared for by our professional Equine Coordinator.  Horses are used in classes following North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) guidelines to ensure they are sound and fit to provide therapy to our riders.
