Public Administration
What is Public Administration?
This is a question that is often asked. Public administration, also known as public service, is responsible for designing and putting into effect the laws
passed by elected representatives.
Public administrators are the people who
manage nearly every aspect of city, county, state and national government.
They are men and women committed to creating innovative programs, delivering
efficient and equitable services, and improving their communities.
About the Degree
The public administration program offers a professional education degree that
prepares students for careers in all levels of government, nonprofit
organizations, and many types of private sector businesses. The program
delivers a multidisciplinary course of study that furnishes students with the
conceptual and practical knowledge required of public service managers and
administrators. It also provides excellent preparation for law school and
graduate study.
