College Credits for Technology Center Programs

Girl holding books.Technology Center students can receive college credit for their technical and vocational studies and earn an associate of applied science degree in applied technology at Rogers State University.

RSU has cooperative agreements with many of Oklahoma’s technology centers, including:

  • Tulsa Technology Centers
  • Northeast Technology Centers
  • Tri-County Technology Center
  • Central Technology Centers

Associate's Requirements

Technology students may complete 19 hours of general education requirements and 12 hours of core requirements at RSU to earn the two-year associate of applied science degree.  Students will receive 30 hours of college credit from RSU for classes completed at a technology center.

Up to 30 hours of college credits are granted only for the courses in the approved programs under the existing cooperative agreements between RSU and the technology centers.

Bachelor's Requirements

Technology students also may pursue RSU’s four-year bachelor’s degree in applied technology while receiving college credit for their technical studies. However, if the students receive 30 hours of credits for the courses completed at a technical center, they must first complete the associate of applied science degree in applied technology before pursuing the bachelor of technology degree in applied technology.

Requirements for both the associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in applied technology at RSU may be completed entirely via the Internet through RSU Online.

The cooperative agreements are part of a commitment by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education to work together for the benefit of Oklahoma students.

  • Transportation Management
